People are not drawn to bad leaders, ignorant people are drawn to bad leaders and bad leaders are drawn for people. Wealthy and powerful people behind the scenes choose a person who they can control, someone who doesn't mind doing bad things. Psychopaths are not power hungry. Psychopaths are insecure people who hate themselves for who they are. So they have to take out their anger and their insecurities on other people. So in order to feel good about themselves, psychopaths lash out at other people. They want to control people by abusing them. And in doing so, this makes psychopaths very attractive to other psychopaths with have wealth and power and the ability to put thee psychopaths in positions of authority. So you have ignorant scumbags choosing other ignorant scumbags to do their dirty work, and ignorant voters are too ignorant to change this system. Ignorant voters are given the illusion of choice so as to give them an illusion of control. So the reason why we have so many scumbag leaders is because ignorant voters can't see that the system is rigged. Lunatics have taken over the asylum. If we don't improve education, we will never have enough intelligent leaders in power. People with no empathy get powerful jobs because most compassionate people can't handle the job. Good people are just too sensitive, too honest and too kind. So we have to improve education that fosters intelligence in good people, while at the same time, discourages bad children from growing up to be bad adults. To be a good leader you need to have the ability to make hard choices. Being a good leader means not lying about the real reasons behind your decisions. And being a good leader means you can't be a puppet for the wealthy and powerful scumbags who are only looking out for themselves. Power doesn't fuck you up, you were fucked up already, the power just exposed how fucked up you really are.

Power does not exist in reality. Power is only a distortion of the mind that people create when they have a higher level of authority over other people without having the level of intelligence that's needed to control the corrupt and destructive force that this illusion of power has on the untrained mind. Power acts like a disease, and the vaccine for this type of disease is knowledge.

We have to fully understand why power corrupts people. And the best way to accomplish this is to improve education.

We have to help people to stop using positions of authority as weapons against other people, including themselves.

Stanford Prison Experiment was an attempt to investigate the psychological effects of perceived power, focusing on the struggle between prisoners and prison guards. Richest People - Wealthiest People in the World

Of course there are many big players in the world beyond the mega rich. Every country has people that have the authority and control to influence changes, with some changes being bad that cause death and suffering. So everyone must learn who these people are, and we must learn to communicate with people in power. We must learn that if they are corrupted, they can be extremely dangerous. That is why we need to end this mass control and mass wealth because it does more harm then good. This was a crazy social experiment that went wrong. We need a new governing system in society. One that is open and one that people can engage in, a system that people can control and understand. A system that is self governed, a system that is dependable, reliable and robust.

Secret Rulers (secrecy)

Poor people far out number the rich, but if the poor can't work together as one, then their numbers are powerless.

There are some other players too, and some are not interested in power or money, because those two things are irrelevant when you are technologically advanced and knowledgeable, but this is still not considered to be intelligent life.

Though there are a lot of different things involved, it really doesn't take that much to have control and influence on most every human on planet earth. Everyone lives in their own little world and is pretty much ignorant to the world around them. So it's easy to be in power when citizens are undereducated and also have very little knowledge about their own state and government. And the followers are the source of the power by consent and accessory . But the followers don't know that they are followers, or do they know exactly who they're following, or why? When people finally wake up, this world will be amazing. Alien life from other planets will come to earth to learn from us, because humans will someday be some of the most intelligent life in the universe.

People in power want to stop people from learning on their own and educating themselves, which they do in several ways. First they make people believe that they are learning and becoming more knowledgeable, which gives people the illusion that they are learning. And they do this by controlling the information that people see. And that's how you control and influence almost all humans on the entire planet. Not total control, just enough to manipulate people and take what ever you want. There is probably no human alive who could handle power, the power you only have by consent, which is easy to do, especially when you control the information and knowledge that people have.

Babies start being influence by power at an early age when they learn the power to move through the environment, and learn the power to talk and communicate. But children never learn where this power comes from and how power actually works. Your thinking will always be manipulated and influenced by irrelevant information that power can give you, and if you don't understand why the information is irrelevant, then having power is wasted. You will never see all the mistakes that you're making, and the rewards that you receive, will only be lies that mostly used to cover up other lies, the lies you don't even know exist, all because you never learned about power.

Anonymity are situations where the acting person's name is unknown or they are namelessness, non-identifiable, unreachable, or untrackable. This is not be be confused with privacy, this is more about secrecy, secrecy that undermines societies right to know the facts, facts that people need in order to make good choices and good decisions. To under utilize the enormous potential of 8 billion people just for profit is insane, because it is such a small profit at such a large expense. When you compare your small profit to the enormous profit that comes from intelligent well educated people, you will clearly see that you are operating at a loss, and we all know about losses, you will eventually end up with nothing. You are at the wheel, but if we work together we can avoid the potholes and avoid driving off a cliff. And don't think that you can just park the car and wait for help, because kids die when they are left in a car on a hot day, so you either drive us to safety, or we all die.

Traditionally, superpowers are preeminent among the Great Powers, which is a sovereign state that is recognized as having the ability and expertise to exert its influence on a global scale. Where in the education process does a person learn about the Dangers of Power, the Vulnerabilities of Power, and the Responsibilities of Power? Why does power manipulate our Perspective of the world? Why does power distort our reality? Why does power create a disconnect between ourselves, other people and the environment? Like an Addict living in denial. Does Ownership cause corruption in the mind? Is that why children always fight?

Possession or Possession?

"Freedom is not Free"

Does power corrupt people? Or do corrupt people seek power? Both. Corrupt and ignorant people seek power, which leads to psychopathic behaviors, lying to themselves, and to others. So why do we allow ignorant and corrupt people to be leaders? You have to know why Power Corrupts the Mind, and know why the Mind Corrupts Power?

Conflict of Interest - Contradiction

It's not bad that people want power and control, power and control is not a bad thing, what's bad is how people use their power and control. Power and control can be very beneficial, but power and control can also be very abusive and very deadly. We need to correct our flaws, because thing's are obviously getting worse for everyone. There is not one country on this planet that is saying, "Hey we are doing just fine, and we don't need anything from any other country, so you guys can just go ahead and kill yourselves and destroy your own countries, I'm sure it won't affect us." It will effect everyone, every island and every piece of land will be affected. Time to wake up fellas, we can be Hero's.

Damocles is a figure featured in a single moral anecdote commonly referred to as "The Sword of Damocles," an allusion to the imminent and ever-present peril faced by those in positions of power, like having a huge sword hanging above your throne, held by a single hair of a horse's tail to evoke the sense of what it is like to be king. King Dionysius effectively conveyed the sense of constant fear in which a person with great power may live. You can physically fight power all you want but it will continue to come back like poisonous weeds. The only true protection against the corrupted force of power is information and knowledge, because an intelligent mind is extremely difficult to corrupt or fool.

Consociationalism is a form of power-sharing and governmental stability, the survival of democracy, and the avoidance of violence. Magna Carta.

Polarity in international relations is any of the various ways in which power is distributed within the international system. It describes the nature of the international system at any given period of time. One generally distinguishes four types of systems: unipolarity, bipolarity, tripolarity, and multipolarity for four or more centers of power. The type of system is completely dependent on the distribution of power and influence of states in a region or globally.

"Having Congressional Oversight is almost like having criminals police themselves."

Early Warning Report

The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions is when individuals may have the intention to undertake good actions but nevertheless fail to take action. This inaction may be due to procrastination, laziness or other subversive vice. As such, the saying is an admonishment that a good intention is meaningless unless followed through.

"Freedom is having the right to explore yourself and the world around you, whether your explorations are in the form of ideas or in the form of actions. However, Freedom does not give you the right to harm or disrupt the lives of others, your freedom to explore should never take away the freedoms of others."

Everyone has power in one form or another. The Power of Choice, The Power of Freedom, The Power to Decide, The Power of having a Weapon, The Power of Authority, The Power of Fame, The Power of Beauty, The Power of Persuasion, The Power of Fortune, The Power of Control, The Power of Need, The Power of Having Something that Someone Doesn't, and so on. So power comes in many forms and types and has many varying degrees of influence. So it's not just the amount of power a person has, but the type of power they perceive to have

It's amazing how the selfish greedy interests of just a few people can cause so much damage to people and our world. Damage that has been clearly documented throughout human history. It's not so much the faults of people but more of what happens to people when they are given power. We have to learn how to Neutralize the effects of power by improving education and teaching people about the effects of power and by the implementing restrictions on what should be allowed by people with power. People should never under estimate the value and the responsibilities of power. This is not your planet to play with, so please stop sh*ting on our only livable planet that we have in our Solar System. Valid

Authority and Ability are 2 different things. You can have power but not have the ability to use the power correctly or effectively. The fact that we can give people power who don't have ability to use it correctly, is one of the reasons why we have so many problems with incompetence and corruption. So where do we get people who have the ability to use power correctly, effectively and efficiently. Of course, we can fully educate people, we haven't tried that yet. We can already see that even people with a small amount of education can accomplish some amazing things, so just imagine what we can do when millions are fully educated?

Knowledge is Power, but you still have to have the right amount of knowledge in order to know how to use power correctly, if not, then the power of knowledge can produce negative effects instead of producing positive effects.

Instructions Manual

Power is a huge responsibility, but most people exploit the position, mostly due to their ignorance and their inability to avoid corruption and manipulation. This of course can be corrected by educating people fully. This behavior comes from ignorance, so if you educate people more, you will change the behavior. Our behavior comes from our perception of our personal experiences and our perceived knowledge. If improve the perception, you improve the behavior. We can create our own behaviors, or have others create behaviors for us. If you learn early on about behavior, you will learn that you can control and build your own personal behaviors. You can choose to have it part of your personality or just be something that benefits you and others.

Structures of Power - Levels of Authority

Power Structure is an overall system of influence and the relationships between any individual and every other individual within any selected group of people. A description of a power structure would capture the way in which power or authority is distributed between people within groups such as a government, nation, institution, organization, or a society. Such structures are of interest to various fields, including sociology, government, economics, and business. A power structure may be formal and intentionally constructed to maximize values like fairness or efficiency, as in a hierarchical organization wherein every entity, except one, is subordinate to a single other entity. Conversely, a power structure may be an informal set of roles, such as those found in a dominance hierarchy in which members of a social group interact, often aggressively, to create a ranking system. A culture that is organized in a dominance hierarchy is a dominator culture, the opposite of an egalitarian culture of partnership. A visible, dominant group or elite that holds power or authority within a power structure is often referred to as being the Establishment. Power structures are fluid, with changes occurring constantly, either slowly or rapidly, evolving or revolutionary, peacefully or violently.

Hierarchy - Business Structure - Wealth Structure - Rackets

Corporate Structure consists of various departments that contribute to the company's overall mission and goals. Common departments include Marketing, Finance, Operations management, Human Resource, and IT. These five divisions represent the major departments within a publicly traded company, though there are often smaller departments within autonomous firms. Many businesses have a CEO and a Board of Directors, usually composed of the directors of each department, potentially with the addition of one or more non-executive directors. There are also company presidents, vice presidents, and CFOs. However, there is a great diversity in corporate forms, as enterprises range from single company to multi-corporate conglomerate. The four main corporate structures are Functional, Divisional, Geographic, and the Matrix. Many corporations have a “hybrid” structure, which is a combination of different models with one dominant strategy.

Team Structure refers to the composition of an individual team or of a multi-team system. Team structure is an integral part of the teamwork process. A properly structured patient care team is an enabler for and the result of effective communication, leadership, situation monitoring, and mutual support. Compartmentalization.

Division of a business is one of the parts into which a business, organization or company is divided. The divisions are distinct parts of that business, it is sometimes called a business sector or business unit or segment. If these divisions are all part of the same company, then that company is legally responsible for all of the obligations and debts of the divisions. However, in a large organization, various parts of the business may be run by different subsidiaries, and a business division may include one or many subsidiaries. Each subsidiary is a separate legal entity owned by the primary business or by another subsidiary in the hierarchy. Often a division operates under a separate name and is the equivalent of a corporation or limited liability company obtaining a fictitious name or "doing business as" certificate and operating a business under that fictitious name. Companies often set up business units to operate in divisions prior to the legal formation of subsidiaries. Generally, only an "entity", e.g. a corporation, public limited company (plc) or limited liability company, etc. would have a "division"; an individual operating in this manner would simply be "operating under a fictitious name".

Stakeholders in a typical corporation are its investors, employees, customers, and suppliers. However, with the increasing attention on corporate social responsibility, the concept has been extended to include communities, governments, and trade associations. A stakeholder is a party that has an interest in a company and can either affect or be affected by the business. Stakeholders has gained wide acceptance in business practice and in theorizing relating to strategic management, corporate governance, business purpose and corporate social responsibility (CSR). The definition of corporate responsibilities through a classification of stakeholders to consider has been criticized as creating a false dichotomy between the "shareholder model" and the "stakeholders model" or a false analogy of the obligations towards shareholders and other interested parties. A stakeholder can be a member of groups without whose support the organization would cease to exist. Shared Coops.

Social Order refers to a particular set or system of linked social structures, institutions, relations, customs, and enforce certain patterns of relating and behaving. Civility.

Front Office represents the customer-facing division of a firm. For example, customer service, sales, and industry experts who provide advisory services are considered part of a firm's front office operations. The function of front office is to directly get in touch with customers, and is usually the first place that customers get to when they arrive to the company. The front office can discover more information about the customer by asking them questions, also helping the customers out.

Power Structures can be designed in a way that keeps people in the dark. Sometimes workers have no idea what the true intentions of the leaders are that they work for, so they can never understand the whole picture and have any freedom of thought or freedom to speak or automony. Sometimes employees don't know the people in other departments or what they actually do. Sometimes workers have no idea about the people who are doing work for them, or people who work right next to them. And sometimes workers have very little idea about who is below in rank or above in rank, and what exactly that means. This is not about questioning authority, this is about understanding the true goals of an organization and having informed consent from every person involved. When people don't know who's really making the decisions and why they are making them, they become just blind followers. And when people believe that they're above the law, then they commit crimes and there's no accountability.

"My job is so top secret, even I don't know what I'm doing."

Black Box - Algorithms - Assimilation - Dived and Conquer - Just Following Orders

Though some decisions at the highest level of government can be focused around national security, people below the chain of command are usually just following orders, and employees are not on a need to know basis. This is because the higher ups want the employees to be more focused on their job, such as science and engineering. The higher ups also want soldiers to focus fighting on a battle field, and not be distracted by higher objectives, especially if the objectives are irrational. So spending money on national defense be beneficial when it causes advances in technologies. But the downside is that there are war profiteers and big corporations doing corrupt things that are extremely damaging. When you're not part of the decision process, or part of a privilege circle of elites, you will never know the real reasons why things happen, you will never know. Like with supreme court justices. Judges can't logically explain their decisions because they are lying about the truth. The higher ups control them too.

Ignorance persists when followers are too ignorant to question what they are doing. This is why corruption is hard to stop. Ignorant people are unable to understand how corrupt and bad they are, thus evil behavior persists.

There are Levels of Command, levels of thinking, levels of secrecy and levels of knowledge. The lower you are on the totem pole, or the less education you have, or the less knowledge you have, or the less awareness you have, will definitely effect what you will know, and what's happening in the other levels of command. Even people at the top can be in the dark about certain things. Though people at the top may have a higher level of education and knowledge, this does not mean that they are intelligent enough, or does it mean that they are not vulnerable to corruption or criminal activity, or vulnerable to making mistakes.

Chain of Command refers to a company's hierarchy of reporting relationships – from the bottom to the top of an organization, who must answer to whom. The chain of command not only establishes accountability, it lays out a company's lines of authority and decision-making power. The chain of command refers to the vertical lines of authority within an organization enabling orders to be passed down through the layers of hierarchy. If the organization has a flat structure then there will be short chain of command. A long chain of command is one that has several levels of management between the top and bottom of the chain. The multiple layers of a long chain of command can create problems for a small business. A command hierarchy is a group of people who carry out orders based on others' authority within the group. It can be viewed as part of a power structure, in which it is usually seen as the most vulnerable and also the most powerful part. Here are four types of organizational charts: Functional Top-Down. Divisional Structure. Matrix Organizational Chart. Flat Organizational Chart.

Rank and File are the ordinary members of an organization as opposed to its leaders. The non-executive and non-managerial employees of a company. The term originates from the formations of military personnel, since troops would stand next to each other (rank) and in a line (file) when marching, while officers would march on the outside of the formation. A military term relating to the horizontal "ranks" (rows) and vertical "files" (columns) of individual foot-soldiers, exclusive of the officers.

Pecking Order is a term for the hierarchical system of social organization. The original use of pecking order referred to the expression of dominance in chickens. Dominance in chickens is asserted by various behaviors, including pecking. The term dominance hierarchy is often used for this type of social organization in other animals. Pecking order is a basic concept in social stratification and social hierarchy that has its counterparts in other animal species, including humans, although the term "pecking order" is often used synonymously. Margaret Heffernan: Why it's time to forget the pecking order at work (video).

Next in Line is someone immediately below the present holder of a position in order of succession.

Predecessor is one who precedes you in time as in holding a position or office. Something that precedes and indicates the approach of something or someone.

Tier is one of two or more layers one atop another. A relative position or degree of value in a graded group. Hierarchy.

Low Man on the Totem Pole is someone at the bottom of a hierarchy with no status or power. Someone who is the last one to know about things within an organization. It's the same as saying someone is low on the pecking order or the lowest rung of the ladder.

If I don't do it, then someone else will, is an ignorant excuse. Just because someone else will do something negligent and criminal, this does not give you a reason to do something ignorant and criminal. Just because other people are willing to be scumbags, this does not mean that you have to be a scumbag. If more people refuse to be scumbags, then there will be less scumbags. Instead, you should do something good when other people won't. If you don't act with integrity, then who will?

Do as I Say and Not as I Do, is what an ignorant person says when they want other people to just ignore their own criminal acts and expect subordinates to just do what they are told or just ignorantly and blindly follow commands, even when those commands are wrong or are in contradiction to known facts. Don't act like a criminal like me, just punish other people for doing the same criminal act that I do.

Doing Someone Else's Dirty Work, or are you doing something that's good and beneficial, something that you know can be proven. To do someone's dirty work means to do a task for someone that is dishonest or unpleasant and which they do not want to do themselves.

Accessory to a Crime - Treason

Rouge Employees and Lower Level Management workers who have their own agendas are also a big problem. They might seem loyal and they might still take orders from the top, but these people can be extremely dangerous. Then there's the employees who pretend to be rouge but are in fact taking orders from the top. Front Men.

Some jobs can be very complicated. But it's part of your job to make your job less complicated. Don't use your own failures to learn as an excuse why you are not aware of certain consequences that are the result of your actions. It's your responsibility to learn the affects that are the result of all your decisions, large and small.

Peter Principle for every employee to rise in the hierarchy through promotion until they reach a level of respective incompetence. People in a hierarchy tend to rise to their "level of incompetence".

Hierarchy - Command Levels

Command Hierarchy is a group of people who carry out orders based on authority within the group.

Structure - Secret Societies - Levels

Hierarchical Organization is an organizational structure where every entity in the organization, except one, is subordinate to a single other entity. This arrangement is a form of a hierarchy. In an organization, the hierarchy usually consists of a singular/group of power at the top with subsequent levels of power beneath them. This is the dominant mode of organization among large organizations; most corporations, governments, and organized religions are hierarchical organizations with different levels of management, power or authority. For example, the broad, top-level overview of the general organization of the Catholic Church consists of the Pope, then the Cardinals, then the Archbishops, and so on.

Dominance Hierarchy arises when members of a social group interact, often aggressively, to create a ranking system. In social living groups, members are likely to compete for access to limited resources and mating opportunities. Rather than fight each time they meet, relative relationships are formed between members of the same sex. These repetitive interactions lead to the creation of a social order that is subject to change each time a dominant animal is challenged by a subordinate one. Perversion.

Corporate Structure as a Factor in Poor Communication. Top-down and bottom-up communications face breakdown because line employees usually don’t think the same way as managers do. Corporate Titles (chiefs).

Authoritarianism is a form of government characterized by strong central power and limited political freedoms.

Hierarchy is an arrangement of items (objects, names, values, categories, etc.) in which the items are represented as being "above," "below," or "at the same level as" one another. A hierarchy can link entities either directly or indirectly, and either vertically or diagonally. The only direct links in a hierarchy, insofar as they are hierarchical, are to one's immediate superior or to one of one's subordinates, although a system that is largely hierarchical can also incorporate alternative hierarchies. Indirect hierarchical links can extend "vertically" upwards or downwards via multiple links in the same direction, following a path. All parts of the hierarchy which are not linked vertically to one another nevertheless can be "horizontally" linked through a path by traveling up the hierarchy to find a common direct or indirect superior, and then down again. This is akin to two co-workers or colleagues; each reports to a common superior, but they have the same relative amount of authority. Organizational forms exist that are both alternative and complementary to hierarchy. Heterarchy is one such form.

Incident Command System is a standardized approach to the command, control, and coordination of emergency response providing a common hierarchy within which responders from multiple agencies can be effective.

Organizational Structure defines how activities such as task allocation, coordination and supervision are directed toward the achievement of organizational aims. It can also be considered as the viewing glass or perspective through which individuals see their organization and its environment. Organizations need to be efficient, flexible, innovative and caring in order to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. An organization can be structured in many different ways, depending on its objectives. The structure of an organization will determine the modes in which it operates and performs. Organizational structure allows the expressed allocation of responsibilities for different functions and processes to different entities such as the branch, department, workgroup, and individual. Organizational structure affects organizational action in two ways: It provides the foundation on which standard operating procedures and routines rest. It determines which individuals get to participate in which decision-making processes, and thus to what extent their views shape the organization’s actions.

Functional Organization is a type of organizational structure that uses the principle of specialization based on function or role. It allows decisions to be decentralized since issues are delegated to specialized persons or units, leaving them the responsibility of implementing, evaluating, or controlling the given procedures or goals.

Compartmentalization is the art of dividing your work into distinct segments, each dedicated to a specific task or project. It's about creating mental boundaries that allow you to focus more effectively, avoid distractions, and ultimately boost your overall productivity. Compartmentalization can lead to an implicit or fake sense of hierarchy. If things are designed in arrows and boxes, those at the start of the process will feel like their input decides the next teams' starting point. Compartmentalization can leads to conflicting goals. Compartmentalization is psychology is a form of psychological defense mechanism in which thoughts and feelings that seem to conflict are kept separated or isolated from each other in the mind.

Organizational Architecture has two very different meanings. In one sense it literally refers to the organization's built environment and in another sense it refers to architecture metaphorically, as a structure which fleshes out the organizations. The various features of a business's organizational architecture has to be internally consistent in strategy, architecture and competitive environment. Organizational architecture or organizational space: the influence of the spatial environment on humans in and around organizations. Organizational architecture or organization design: the creation of roles, processes, and formal reporting relationships in an organization.

Matrix Management (management styles)

Organizational Culture represents the collective values, beliefs and principles of organizational members and is a product of such factors as history, product, market, technology, strategy, type of employees, management style, and national culture; culture includes the organization's vision, values, norms, systems, symbols, language, assumptions, beliefs, and habits. Encompasses values and behaviors that "contribute to the unique social and psychological environment of an organization.

Industrial and Organizational Psychology is the scientific study of human behavior in the workplace and applies psychological theories and principles to organizations and individuals in their workplace.

Structure follows Strategy means that a corporate structure is created in order to implement a given corporate strategy.

Corporate Governance - Governance Structures - Decisions

Confederate Army soldiers were organized by military specialty. The combat arms included infantry, cavalry, and artillery. Although fewer soldiers might comprise a squad or platoon, the smallest infantry maneuver unit in the Army was a company of 100 soldiers. Ten companies were organized into an infantry regiment, which theoretically had 1,000 men. In reality, as disease, desertions and casualties took their toll, and the common practice of sending replacements to form new regiments took hold, most regiments were greatly reduced in strength. By the mid-war, most regiments averaged 300–400 men, with Confederate units slightly smaller on average than their U.S. counterparts. For example, at the pivotal Battle of Chancellorsville, the average U.S. Army infantry regiment's strength was 433 men, versus 409 for Confederate infantry regiments. Rough unit sizes for CSA combat units during the war: Corps - 24,000 to 28,000 / Division - 6,000 to 14,000 / Brigade - 800 to 1,700 / Regiment - 350 to 400 / Company – 35 to 40. Regiments, which were the basic units of army organization through which soldiers were supplied and deployed, were raised by individual states. They were generally referred by number and state, for example 1st Texas, 12th Virginia. To the extent the word "battalion" was used to describe a military unit, it referred to a multi-company task force of a regiment or a near-regimental size unit. Throughout the war, the Confederacy raised the equivalent of 1,010 regiments in all branches, including militias, versus 2,050 regiments for the U.S. Army. Four regiments usually formed a brigade, although as the number of men in many regiments became greatly reduced, especially later in the war, more than four were often assigned to a brigade. Occasionally, regiments would be transferred between brigades. Two to four brigades usually formed a division. Two to four divisions usually formed a corps. Two to four corps usually formed an army. Occasionally, a single corps might operate independently as if it were a small army. The Confederate States Army consisted of several field armies, named after their primary area of operation. The largest Confederate field army was the Army of Northern Virginia, whose surrender at Appomattox Courthouse in 1865 marked the end of major combat operations in the US Civil War. Companies were commanded by captains and had two or more lieutenants. Regiments were commanded by colonels. Lieutenant colonels were second in command. At least one major was next in command. Brigades were commanded by brigadier generals although casualties or other attrition sometimes meant that brigades would be commanded by senior colonels or even a lower grade officer. Barring the same type of circumstances which might leave a lower grade officer in temporary command, divisions were commanded by major generals and corps were commanded by lieutenant generals. A few corps commanders were never confirmed as lieutenant generals and exercised corps command for varying periods as major generals. Armies of more than one corps were commanded by (full) generals. Tank is an armored fighting vehicle designed for front-line combat.

Non-Commissioned Officer is a military officer who does not hold a commission. Non-commissioned officers usually earn their position of authority by promotion through the enlisted ranks.

Commission is the act of granting authority to undertake certain functions. A formal document issued to appoint a named person to high office or as a commissioned officer in a territory's armed forces. A commission constitutes documentary authority that the person named is vested with the powers of that office and is empowered to execute official acts. A commission often takes the form of letters patent. officer is a person who holds a position of authority as a member of an armed force or uniformed service.

Types of Power

Superpower is a word used to describe a state with a dominant position in international relations and which is characterized by its unparalleled ability to exert influence or project power on a global scale. This is done through the combined-means of technological, cultural, military and economic strength, as well as diplomatic and soft power influence. One World Order.

Sharp Power is the use of manipulative diplomatic policies by one country to influence and undermine the political system of a target country.

Abusive Power and Control is commonly used by an abusive person to gain and maintain power and control over another person in order to subject that victim to psychological abuse, physical abuse, mental abuse, sexual abuse, or financial abuse. The abuser may have a variety of motivations which can include devaluation, envy, personal gain, personal gratification, psychological projection, or simply the enjoyment of exercising power and control.

Economic Abuse - Economic Sabotage - Extortion - Blackmail.

Great Power is a sovereign state that is recognized as having the ability and expertise to exert its influence on a global scale. Great powers characteristically possess military and economic strength, as well as diplomatic and soft power influence, which may cause middle or small powers to consider the great powers' opinions before taking actions of their own. International relations theorists have posited that great power status can be characterized into power capabilities, spatial aspects, and status dimensions.

Small Power in the international system may never equal or surpass the effect of larger powers, they can nevertheless influence the workings of the international system together with others.

Middle Power is a sovereign state that is not a superpower nor a great power, but still has large or moderate influence and international recognition.

World Power Index is defined as the numeric expression that expresses the accumulation of national capabilities that a State has to exercise its power in the international system.

Regulatory Agency - Congressional Oversight - Separation of Powers

Second Superpower is a term used to conceptualize a global civil society as a world force comparable to or counterbalancing the United States of America.

Smart Power is investing heavily in alliances, partnerships, and institutions of all levels to expand one's influence and establish legitimacy of one's action, without using the influence of a strong military. It is sometimes the combination of hard power and soft power strategies.

Soft Power is the ability to attract and co-opt rather than by coercion, hard power or using force or giving money as a means of persuasion. Soft power is the ability to shape the preferences of others through knowledge and inspiration. A defining feature of soft power is that it is non-coercive; the currency of soft power is culture, political values, and foreign policies. Recently, the term has also been used in changing and influencing social and public opinion through relatively less transparent channels and lobbying through powerful political and non-political organizations. Soft-Power should be about educating people about the facts, and also about the choices and options that are available. "Educate instead of Intimidate, Manipulate or Dominate."

Emerging Power is a term used as recognition of the rising, primarily economic, influence of a nation—or union of nations—which has steadily increased their presence in global affairs. Such a power aspires to have a more powerful position or role in international relations, either regionally or globally, and possess sufficient resources and levels of development that such goals are potentially achievable. A term also used to describe such a state is "Rising Power".

People Power - Power to the People

People have the Power, but most people don't know how to utilize their power, this is why so many people feel powerless or suffer from the illusion of control.

Knowledge is Power, but only if the knowledge you receive has power. It's not just any knowledge that gives you power, it's the knowledge that makes you realize the power you have, and also it's the knowledge that explains to you how to effectively, efficiently and collectively use power, a power that everyone should have. But power is a learned ability, and not everyone has access to this power, so this needs to change. We have the ability to solve every problem on earth, so it makes perfect sense to provide everyone with the highest quality education that the world has to offer, it's time. - BK101 (August 6, 2016).

You need to put yourself under arrest and stop what you're doing. It is the individuals who must stop the abuse and stop contributing to crimes against humanity. People must solve the problems themselves. People can't wait for other people to solve our problems. People need to be part of the solution and stop being part of the problem. People are the shareholders of America. And every shareholder has the right to vote on changes and be heard. People should be paid to vote. And voting should be easy with several options available to everyone. But people will need to read the fine print and fully understand what they're voting for. People need to stop blindly signing bad contracts. People need to understand what they are signing because people are signing their lives away in all kinds ways. Educating people will be the key. If people are more knowledgeable about what they are voting for, the more accurate the vote will be. People are the immune system of the world. And in order to fight infections and disease, people must know how to recognize these viruses of society that are threatening human existence and threatening our ability to survive. People are the brain and the body of this reality that we all live in. And everyone has potential. So we must foster the potential of every person on the planet, and in doing so, we will have a much more stable system, and a much more stronger system, and a much more human system. We all want the easy way out, and this is the easiest way out.

Knowledge can give you power, but first you must acquire the knowledge that would help you avoid the trappings of power. Knowledge is a huge responsibility, power is a huge responsibility. Together they wield a force that only knowledge can tame. So learning the right things at the right time is extremely important. Only the most skilled and knowledgeable can be at the controls of such a superpower. Weak and ignorant minds are easily corrupted, which we can clearly see all over the world. Overconfidence can also be a trap.

Language and knowledge is like having a secret power, but you have to learn how to use the power effectively and efficiently.

Public Trust is the idea that within the public lies the true power and future of a society; therefore, whatever trust the public places in its officials must be respected. One of the reasons that bribery is regarded as a notorious evil is that it contributes to a culture of political corruption in which the public trust is eroded. Other issues related to political corruption or betrayal of public trust are lobbying, special interest groups and the public cartel.

General Will is the will of the people as a whole. All citizens have the right to contribute personally, or through their representatives, to its formation. It must be the same for all, whether it protects or punishes. All citizens, being equal in its eyes, are equally admissible to all public dignities, positions, and employments, according to their capacities, and without any other distinction than that of their virtues and their talents.

Political Freedom is freedom from oppression or coercion, the absence of disabling conditions for an individual and the fulfillment of enabling conditions, or the absence of life conditions of compulsion, e.g. economic compulsion, in a society.

"The best propaganda is no propaganda" - "Credibility is the scarcest resource"

"Our strategy should not be only to confront empire, but to lay siege to it. To deprive it of oxygen. To mock it. To shame it. With our art, our literature, our music, our brilliance, our joy, our sheer relentlessness -- and our ability to tell our own stories. Not the stories that we're being brainwashed to believe. The corporate revolution will collapse if we refuse to buy what they're selling -- their ideas, their version of history, their wars, their weapons, their sense of inevitability. Because know this: They be few and we be many. They need us more than we need them. Another world is not only possible, she's on her way. And on a quiet day, I can hear her breathing." New World Man - Rush (youtube) - He's a rebel and a runner, He's a signal turning green, He's a restless young romantic, Wants to run the big machine. He's got a problem with his poisons, But you know he'll find a cure, He's cleaning up the systems, To keep his nature pure. Learning to match the beat of the old-world man, Learning to catch the heat of the third-world man. He's got to make his own mistakes, And learn to mend the mess he makes. He's old enough to know what's right, And young enough not to choose it. He's noble enough to win the world, But weak enough to lose it. He's a new-world man. He's a radio receiver, Tuned to factories and farms, He's a writer and ranger and a young boy bearing arms. He's got a problem with his powers, His weapons on patrol, He's got to walk a fine line, And keep his self-control. Trying to save the day for the old-world man, Trying to pave the way for the third-world man. He's not concerned with yesterday, He knows constant change is here today. He's noble enough to know what's right, But weak enough not to choose it. He's wise enough to win the world. But fool enough to lose it. He's a new-world man. Learning to match the beat of the old-world man, He's learning to catch the heat of the third-world man. He's a new world man, He's a new world man.

Hero - Chad Kroeger (youtube) - I am so high, I can hear heaven, I am so high, I can hear heaven. Whoa, but heaven no, heaven don't hear me. And they say, That a hero could save us, I'm not gonna stand here and wait. I'll hold onto the wings of the eagles, Watch as we all fly away. Someone told me, Love would all save us. But, how can that be, Look what love gave us. A world full of killing, And blood spilling, That world never came, And they say, That a hero could save us, I'm not gonna stand here and wait. I'll hold onto the wings of the eagles, Watch as we all fly away. Now that the world isn't ending, It's love that I'm sending to you. It isn't the love of a hero, And that's why I fear it won't do. And they say, That a hero could save us, I'm not gonna stand here and wait. I'll hold onto the wings of the eagles, Watch as we all fly away. And they're watching us, They're watching us, As we all fly away. And they're watching us, They're watching us, As we all fly away. And they're watching us, They're watching us, As we all fly away.
